Nidec Genmark’s teach pendant terminals are designed to provide an effective and intuitive user interface to the company’s robots and robotic systems. Current available options consist of an ASCII terminal, featuring a keypad with tactile feedback and an LCD alphanumeric display. This terminal features numerous operating modes, including terminal (or command) mode, as well as additional modes that allow the definition of operating parameters and function keys.
Currently in development is an intelligent terminal that takes advantage of the computational power and graphical interface of mobile devices to extend and augment the functionality of our GB Toolbox desktop software.
The GBTools Mobile application features a command line terminal with shortcut buttons, a graphic objects terminal, robot jogging, file transfer operations, teaching of stations and many additional useful capabilities. Bluetooth and WLAN wireless connectivity are standard features of the intelligent teach pendant terminal, allowing for quick, seamless terminal communication , while robot communication is achieved via either RS-232 or TCP/IP.
